ARTinTRA is a fine art advisory and curatorial platform founded in 2014 by Vassiliki Tzanakou specialising in modern and contemporary art.
Operating as a network of emerging, mid-career and established artists as well as creative minds, ARTinTRA commissions, produces and manages innovative art projects in public, private and digital spaces.
Our advisory services include private art collecting and management, as well as art programmes for businesses and organisations.
ARTinTRA has developed in collaboration with afca.ag a cutting-edge Augmented Reality application that allows users to upload multiple artworks and install them in all possible places; a gallery space, a garden, a public space. We developed technology that works without the need for a QR Code or any form of equipment apart from a smartphone or tablet. The app supports two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks as well as video and sound files. Our pilot project is ‘Complex States: Art in the Years of Brexit‘. Download the application for free.

ARTinTRA proudly presents ’Complex States’, an international exhibition that comes as a timely and urgent response to both the divisive events of ’Brexit’ and the ’Covid-19’ pandemic. With more than 30 international artists, 13 venues and a cutting edge augmented reality platform, the exhibition will launch on the 28th of October 2020 and last until the 31st of December 2020 when the Brexit process draws to a close. As an exhibition that traverses nations, as well as the physical and virtual, Complex States offers a platform for renewed trans-national dialogue, collaboration and cultural exchange. ARTinTRA is proud to present “Last Parade”, a site-specific video installation by Russo-Finnish artist Alexander Reichstein curated by Vassiliki Tzanakou for Canary Wharf Winter Lights Festival, 15-26 January 2019, 5-10pm.
Inspired by Plato‘s ‘Allegory of the Cave’, Reichstein creates with a 25m video projection of a wildlife reserve where the shadows of endangered and threatened animals are marching on their last parade.
The work was originally commissioned by the Moscow Polytechnic Museum, and has been created in collaboration with Tatyana Moshkova (animation) and Georgi Baranov (sound).
